About the event

Kick off The 79th Charleston Festival in spectacular fashion at an unforgettable evening celebration set within the enchanting gardens of the Nathaniel Russell House—a National Historic Landmark and one of Charleston’s most architecturally significant homes. Completed in 1808 and the private home of merchant Nathaniel Russell and his family, the house is renowned for its free-flying staircase, precise Adamesque ornamentation, and remarkably preserved landscape, South of Broad. Its gardens, thoughtfully restored according to early 19th-century plans, provide a breathtaking backdrop for this year’s opening night festivities.

Tucked among the florals and twinkling lights, the evening’s outdoor tasting market will bring together some of Charleston's most celebrated local makers and culinary talent including Edisto Gold Honey, Indigo Road’s Chef Jerome, the Cocktail Bandits, The Botantist Gin, and more! In addition, guests will enjoy an open bar, live music with the Run River Run Band, house tours, light bites, and more!
