About the event
South Battery Street is home to a variety of mansions from late 19th century Colonial Revival to early 20th century waterfront homes that overlook White Point Gardens and the harbor. Join us for one of two South Battery Street Tours to explore some of the most magnificent homes and gardens on this iconic street in one of Charleston's most historic neighborhoods.
The Charleston Festival's House & Garden Street Tours are self-paced walking tours that are centered around the “main street”, in this case, South Battery Street. This tour is self-paced from home to home, and once at each location, experienced docents will guide guests through homes and gardens, providing information along the way. Street Tour addresses will be listed in the Festival Program, to be picked up prior to the beginning of the tour at the Festival Ticket Office.
