Stroll through Charleston’s iconic historic streets on a two-hour walking tour led by Charleston’s most experienced and licensed guides, offering a captivating overview of the city’s rich history. This guided tour is an ideal introduction for those new to the Lowcountry, as it takes you through picturesque streets lined with historic homes, gardens, and landmarks dating back to the 18th century. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about Charleston’s past, from its colonial beginnings to its role in the Civil War, providing a deeper understanding of the Holy City.


Morning History Walks are a Festival favorite, with multiple offerings throughout The Charleston Festival. Tours will leave promptly and guests are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early at the meeting location: Capt. James Missroon House, 40 East Bay Street.
