About the event
Charleston’s beautiful gardens are nothing without its natural pollinators. Board Director of the Charleston Area Beekeepers Association and SC Journeyman beekeeper, Brian Fahey, will discuss honey bee management in the United States from the colonial period to date. On site with our pollinating friends, Fahey will also discuss why colonists imported bees and the impact of this non-native species on our local environment.
In an engaging NEW format for The Charleston Festival, we hit the road for this special series of educational programs. Lectures on Location invite guests to a unique location where they will meet our expert for an intriguing and engaging program.
