About the event
Join the talented professors of the American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) for an engaging panel and Q&A session showcasing the innovative work of students and faculty. Learn about ACBA's unique approach to preservation education and traditional craftsmanship across disciplines such as stone carving, plaster work, timber framing, carpentry, architectural design, and blacksmithing. As the nation’s only liberal arts college dedicated to the building arts, ACBA combines hands-on training with academic excellence to prepare future artisans and preservationists. Following the panel, enjoy refreshments while exploring the campus on a guided workshop tour, and witness the artistry and dedication that make ACBA a cornerstone of Charleston's cultural heritage.
This program is designed in partnership with the American College of the Building Arts for The Charleston Festival’s Lectures on Location event series, where we bring our programs out into the community to share new venues with our guests.
